James S. ("Jamie") Whitlock is an environmental attorney who attended Vermont Law School, where he graduated from the law school's joint degree program, earning a Juris Doctor in 2004 and a Master's Degree in Environmental Law in 2001. He also served as Managing Editor of the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law, lobbied for environmental and other causes in the Vermont state legislature, and worked extensively with the Vermont Environmental Board, which administers Vermont's landmark land use statute, Act 250.
Jamie is a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in History, With Honors. Jamie is also an Honors graduate of Spartanburg High School.
Jamie is a part-time syndicated columnist with Community Newspapers, Inc., where he has had articles relating to environmental issues published in several local and regional newspapers.
